Exhibitions, trade fairs and shows remain important venues for getting one’s name promoted in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. While nearly every country in the region stages an event related to manufacturing technology, a few of them offer you the best return on your participation investment.

12th International Trade Exhibition of Machine Manufacturing and Welding Technology, under the banner of Industry Days. The only engineering show in Hungary which includes exhibiting machine tools and tools, metalworking equipment and robotics, useful in the case of activities in Hungary. http://www.mach-tech.hu/?nyelf=1
, June 16-20, 2014 - Moscow, Russia
14th International Exhibition for Equipment, Instruments and Tools for Metalworking Industry By far the most important specialized show in Russia – this is the Russian IMTS. In 2013, as always in recent years, AMT had an information stand at this most renown all-Russian metalworking show in Moscow. According to organizers, the 2013 event was the largest ever, with 1105 exhibitors and over 50,000 visitors, and 22 AMT members had their machines and equipment on display during the show. Some of them for the first time, having recently established the relationship with distributors.
Other good although regional shows take place in Kazan (Tatarstan), Krasnoyarsk (Siberia), St. Petersburg (North West), Yekaterinburg (Ural Mountains Region). Also worth mentioning are attempts to stage competing shows in Moscow, mainly in October, with the varying degree of success. MACH-TOOL Machines and Tools Exhibition, part of 93rd
ITM POLAND Technology Fair which also includes welding. In 2013 it hosted nearly 1,000 exhibitors for manufacturing technology alone. The show competes with Brno in Czech Republic for the No.1 spot in Central Europe. In 2013 ten AMT Members had their equipment on display in Poznan. http//www.machtool.mtp.pl/en/

56th International Engineering Fair The venue for mechanical, electrical and precision engineering, industrial machinery. In 2013 it hosted over 1,500 exhibitors for all sectors of industry, with some 1/3 accounted for manufacturing technology. In manufacturing technology the Fair competes with Poznan in Poland for the No.1 show spot in Central Europe.
, September 30 - October 2, 2014 - Exposilesia nr Katowice, Poland
7th International Machine Tools, Tools and Processing Technology Fair A new show, fast gaining a reputation as clearly specialized and well located. In 2013 AMT visited the show and now recommends it as an industry focused competition to traditional Mach Tool in Poznan. In 2013 LASERexpo has been added to the program, all in all 600 brands were represented, with nearly 400 exhibitors. It is staged at the same time as MSV in Brno, and the distance between the two locations, about 250 km, enables visiting them both.
, October 7–10, 2014 - Bucharest, Romania
40th Bucharest International Technical Fair The only engineering show in Romania to include exhibiting machine tools and tools, useful in the case of activities in Romania.

14th international specialized exhibition of welding materials, equipment and technology The most established show for welding equipment and materials in Russia.
AMT has been monitoring the Turkish market as well, a nicely developing market on the fringes in Europe. In terms of shows we observe some competition there, as in Istanbul alone one could find three shows devoted to manufacturing technology. In 2014 there would be only one show of real significance in Istanbul and a few regional. MAKTEK EURASIA

2nd Machine Tools, Metal Processing Machines, Welding, Cutting, Drilling Technologies, Quality Control and Test Equipment Fair The first MAKTEK Show in 2012 became the very good show for exporters to Turkey and some 600 foreign suppliers promoted their products during the event, 18 AMT Members among them, with good crowds coming every day. AMT does not miss the development of markets of Central Asia, especially Kazakhstan, rich in oil and gas deposits, even if very few Members have already been exploring this region. This regional exhibition is gaining some importance. CENTRAL ASIA MACHINE WORLD
