Marcus B. Crotts, Past Chairman of AMTDA, was recognized by North Carolina State University with a Lifetime Achievement Award. He and his business partner, Charles L. Saunders, founded Crotts & Saunders Engineering Inc. in Winston-Salem, N.C., in 1956. The award was presented at the Centennial Campus in Raleigh, N.C.
FANUC CORPORATION has been named one of the top 100 innovative companies in the world by Forbes. This is the fourth consecutive year Forbes has named FANUC a top global innovator. Forbes 2014 “The World’s Most Innovative Companies” list recognizes leading-edge corporations that are most likely to be innovative now and in the future. The list is based on a study completed by professors and advisors who determined that calculating a company’s value plus anticipated growth fueled by new technology and products will identify the most innovative companies.

Koma Precision Inc. also announces that David Meo has been promoted to National Sales Manager. He has been with Koma Precision, Inc. for seven years, most recently as Mid-West Regional Sales Manager. He will be based out of the company’s headquarters in East Windsor, Conn. Prior to joining Koma Precision, he worked as a financial analyst at Ipreo, New York, N.Y., leading global provider of market intelligence, deal execution platforms and investor communication tools.
In addition, Koma Precision, Inc. announces that Daniel O’Connor has been hired as the new South Central Regional Sales Manager. He will be covering Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Arkansas. This area was previously handled by Gary Agosti, who will now be focusing on the West / Western Canada territory. O’Connor will be responsible for working closely with customers, distributors, OEM groups and Koma Precision, Inc., sales and marketing staff members. He will be based in Sallas, Texas.
Nidec Minster Corporation has opened a regional Customer Service Center in Querétaro, Mexico. The Mexico Service Center currently offers locally inventoried common repair and replacement parts for expedited delivery to the region with all transactions processed in Pesos or U.S. dollars. Specialized maintenance, repair and installation tools are housed at the Querétaro facility to allow ready access for field service personnel in Mexico. Additional resources are currently being acquired to allow for component repair and rebuild operations at the Mexico Service Center, while future plans include the capability for complete press remanufacturing on site.
