USMTO Detail Summary Report

The U.S. Manufacturing Technology Orders (USMTO) summary includes metal cutting and forming machine orders by region in a continually revised 13-month table format perfect for tracking the aggregate trends in the machine tool market. This summary also includes a textual and graphical summary of the data featuring comments made by the presidents of AMT and AMTDA.  The information is collected from machine tool builders and distributors and is reported in terms of units and U.S. dollars. May 14, 2012 - USMTO News Release for March Manufacturing Technology Orders
March U.S. manufacturing technology orders totaled $495.97 million according to AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology. This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTO program, was up 11.3% from February but down 1.4% up when compared with the total of $502.89 million reported for March 2011. With a year-to-date total of $1,356.70 million, 2012 is up 12.9% compared with 2011.

February 13, 2012 - USMTO News Release for December 2011 Manufacturing Technology Orders
December U.S. manufacturing technology orders totaled $519.98 million according to AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology and AMTDA, the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association. This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTO program, was up 12.2% from November and up 12.7% when compared with the total of $461.48 million reported for December 2010. November U.S. manufacturing technology orders totaled $430.17 million according to AMTDA, the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association and AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology. This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTO program, was down 6.9% from October but up 26.6% when compared with the total of $339.68 million reported for November 2010. With a year-to-date total of $4,956.51 million, 2011 is up 73.9% compared with 2010.
