Prof. Reginaldo Teixeira Coelho received his Mechanical Engineering degree at The University of São Paulo, Brazil in 1987. He received his Master of Science (MSc) degree in 1991. He earned a PhD at the University of Birmingham, School of Manufacturing and Mechanical Engineering in 1995. He was visiting Professor at McMaster University, Hamilton, Canada, in 2005.
Currently, Mr. Coelho is a Professor of Metal Cutting and Metal Forming at the University of Sao Paulo, School of Engineering at Sao Carlos, Sao Paulo, Brazil. He also heads the Department of Production Engineering and is the President of the Research Committee of the School of Engineering and the President of the Board of the Foundation for the Increment of Research and Improvement of Industries. His main research interests are in metal cutting, micromachining, manufacturing process simulations and machine tool improvements, as well as involvement in international joint research projects with universities and industries.
