The MFG meeting brings industry together in Orlando

The second installment of The MFG Meeting took place in Orlando, Fla., from March 8-11. With more than 700 attendees, the event once again mixed dynamic general sessions with unparalleled networking opportunities – and some fun events, including a reception at SeaWorld, a black tie-optional gala and a golf tournament.

The opening keynote was from Super Bowl winning coach and NASCAR team owner Joe Gibbs, who shared his wisdom in a speech titled Game Plan for Life. Other general session speakers included Brad Hams, with Ownership Thinking: End Entitlement and Create a Culture of Accountability and Purpose, and Darren Hardy, who spoke on Productivity Strategies of Superachievers. There was also an Industry & Economic Update from Alan Beaulieu of The Institute for Trend Research and Adrian Cooper of Oxford Economics, which was moderated by Brian Norris of Sandvik Coromant.

There were also a number of executive roundtables covering a variety of topics, from succession planning to management practices to recruiting the best talent.

On March 8 AMT and AMTDA announced the merger of the two associations that will integrate their products and services to better serve the members of both associations. This merger marks the beginning of a more powerful voice for the industry and an unparalleled scope of benefits for AMT’s members.

Next year’s The MFG Meeting will take place at the Hilton Waikoloa Village in Waikoloa, Hawaii, from March 6-10. Mark your calendars! Learn more at www.TheMFGMeeting.com.
