You will visit parent companies of OEM automotive and auto parts manufacturers with operations in North America. At these visits, you will meet people and create relationships that will be invaluable to grow sales with those companies in the U.S.
Register now as space is limited to 15 participants. Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
Registration and Deposit Information A non-refundable deposit of $500 must be paid with registration. The balance of the prorated expense will be invoiced by AMT upon return from our trip. Your cost will not exceed $1,000 plus airfare, hotel, and meals.
You should plan to arrive in Seoul no later than mid-afternoon on April 7 and depart from Pusan mid-afternoon on April 19.
Schedule includes:
April 8-13: SIMTOS - Seoul International Manufacturing Technology Show (optional)
April 14-19: Plant visits in the Seoul and Pusan areas.
- The visits will take place at automotive companies (Hyundai, KIA, etc.) and their first and second tier suppliers.
- Learn, firsthand, how they make decisions on capital equipment investments and supplier selection.
- Talk to high-ranking executives at these companies and take the first steps for a fruitful and lasting relationship. These contacts will be instrumental for future contacts with their subsidiaries in North America.
In addition to the visits, AMT will sponsor:
- Technical seminar where AMT members will have an opportunity to make presentations about their products and capabilities to Korea automotive and auto parts producers.
- Briefings from AMT staff and from the U.S. Embassy in Seoul about business practices and the decision-making process in Korea.
- One-on-one meetings with specific customers and a networking reception to bring together AMT members and a large number of potential Korean customers.
- Follow-up events to ensure the continuation of the efforts in increasing sales to the Korean transplants in North America.
This trip and the respective follow-up initiatives will create the opportunity of increased sales to the Korean operations around the world. For more information please contact Sarah Jugo at 703-827-5201.
