October, 2006 - Thanks to the leadership of Congressmen Steve Chabot (R-OH), David Hobson (R-OH), and Duncan Hunter (R-CA) and Senator Mike DeWine (R-OH), Congress has approved $1.35 million in funding for the Smart Machine Platform Initiative (SMPI).
Investment in America’s future by providing adequate government funding for manufacturing R&D programs, including SMPI, is a top government relations priority for the association.
