March 15, 2006 - James H. Mack, Vice President of Tax & Economic Policy, AMT, and Elizabeth Sitterly, Legal Counsel, Giddings & Lewis, testified before the House Judiciary Committee's Commercial and Administrative Law Subcommittee in support of "The Workplace Goods Job Growth and Competitiveness Act of 2005" (H.R. 3509), which would establish a 12-year federal statute-of-repose for workplace capital goods. Over 80% of AMT members' product liability litigation would be eliminated by passage. It is a major Government Relations priority for AMT.
