18-Year Statute of Repose Introduced
 
 
Cong. Steve Chabot (R-OH) and Henry Hyde (R-IL) have introduced an 18-year statute-of-repose for machine tools and other capital goods used in the workplace (H.R. 1363). The bill, which was included in broader product liability reform legislation passed by Congress in the mid-1990’s but vetoed by former President Clinton, is a top AMT legislative priority.
