June 14, 2007 -- Japanese aluminium die-cast parts maker Gunma-Gohkin Co will spend 700 mln Japanese yen ($5.7 mln/4.3 mln euro) on building a factory at the site of its Sakai plant in Isesaki, Gunma prefecture, eastern Japan, it was reported on June 14, 2007. The new facility will be sited on a 2,600-sq m land plot and will have a total floor space of 1,650 sq m. It is scheduled to be put into full-scale operation in January 2009 using such equipment as machining centers (MC) and numerical control (NC) lathes for the processing and assembly of cast parts. Gunma-Gohkin has decided on the move in order to keep up with the growing demand for higher value-added products from its customers.
