June 15, 2007 -- Manufacturer of light and heavy commercial vehicles BMC plans to team up with Cummins for diesel engines production in Turkey. Deputy chairman of BMC, Mehmet Demirpence says that the two companies has reached an agreement over the joint production however investment details have not been discussed yet. BMC plans to establish the engine factory in the city of Izmir , according to Demirpence. On a separate note the company executive says that BMC currently has around 40% share in the domestic market and it targets to become a global player with the cooperation with Cummins.
