July 5, 2007 -- Gildemeister, the German machine tools group, has acquired domestic competitor WKZ Werkzeugmaschinen, which specialises in manufacturing robot technology and automation systems for machine tools. Gildemeister has revealed that it is planning to extend WKZ's range of products and services and intends to increase turnover at the new subsidiary from around 6m euros to between 15m euros and 20m euros within just 12 months.
