July 13, 2007 -- Embraer announces that Republic Airlines Inc., a subsidiary of Republic Airways Holdings, has increased its orders for the EMBRAER 175 by 13 firm orders, totaling US$403 million, at list price, based on January 2007 economic conditions. Eight aircraft from this order were already included in Embraer's first quarter backlog as "Undisclosed", and the other five refer to options confirmed during the second quarter.
Embraer's long and prolific relationship with Republic goes back to 1998, when Chautauqua Airlines, also a member of Republic Airways Holdings, purchased ten 50-seat ERJ 145 jets. Later, the airline became an operator of the entire ERJ 145 family by ordering the ERJ 135 and the ERJ 140 jets. Currently, the Embraer fleet flying with Republic Airways totals an impressive 182 jets.
