July 16, 2007 -- Magna International, a leading global producer of auto components, plans to invest $25-$30mn in localising auto components production in Tatarstan, a Russian Volga republic. The plant, which will turn out a wide range of products, will be located on the premises of the Kama industrial park Master in Naberezhnye Chelny. Kamaz is expected to be the major buyer of Magna auto components. Magna also plans to supply auto components to Severstal Auto, which will soon start producing Fiat Ducato light commercial vehicles in Yelabuga.
