August 8, 2007 -- Shengli Investment and Development Ltd Co will build a US$130 million steel processing plant in northern Thai Binh province, announced Zhang Chun Min, head of Shengli's management board. In the first phase, the company will invest $50 million on a 20ha area. At the end of the first phase, the plant is expected to have the capacity to process one million tonnes of steel a year. In the second phase, added processing facilities will be built on an additional 35 ha at an estimated cost of $80 million, raising the plant's capacity to two million tonnes.
