August 13, 2007 -- Aircraft parts maker TransDigm Group Inc. has acquired certain unspecified assets from Bruce Industries Inc., a supplier to the aerospace and defense industry, for $35 million in cash. Bruce designs and makes specialized fluorescent lighting used by the aircraft industry including Boeing Co., Airbus, a unit of European Aeronautic Defense and Space Co. NV., Gulfstream Aerospace Corp., a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics Corp., and Canadian-based Bombardier Aerospace, among others. Shares of TransDigm fell 46 cents to close at $38.00.
