September 19, 2007 -- Austrian automobile contract manufacturer Magna Steyr, part of Canadian Magna International, has signed a framework agreement with German engineering group Ruecker AG for the development of engineering goods and services, the German company said on September 18, 2007.
The contract was signed by Ruecker CEO Wolfgang Ruecker, CFO Juergen Vogt and by Magna Steyr executives Werner Wilhelm and Klaus Iffland.
Under the agreement Magna Steyr has granted Ruecker the status of a preferred cooperation partner for the development of engineering goods and services in the automobile sector. Ruecker expects major improvements in utilisation and profits from the contract as well the opening of additional 200 jobs, its CEO said.
Ruecker offers to global automobile companies virtual goods and services in the field of bodywork, interior equipment and electrical areas. The company employs 2,500 persons at 35 sites in 18 countries. Its turnover stood at 166.1 mln euro ($232.2 mln) in 2006.
