October 9, 2007 -- Headquartered in the Hefei Economic-Technological Development Area in East China's Anhui Province, the Yingliu Group is a large private company specializing in casting, forging, machining, sales and technological research, with total assets worth 890 million yuan. The group has set up branches in Anhui and Jiangsu provinces, and Shanghai, as well as in Europe and the United States.
Today, the Yingliu Group has six foundries, one forging plant, plus one stainless steel standard parts and four machining plants. It has an annual casting capacity of 30,000 tons and the ability for machining all the castings.
The group is currently engaged in casting, processing and assembling various types of machine and flow control parts. Its products include engineering and mining machinery parts; petrochemical mining and oil refining machinery parts; power generation equipment parts for nuclear power, thermal power, wind power and hydroelectric power plants; as well as parts for aircraft, warships, ocean liners, trains and automobiles.
With the aim of building a modern hi-tech enterprise, the group has emphasized technological innovation from the very outset. In 2001, it introduced the advanced patent technology of "replicast process" from Casting Technology International (CTI).
The successful introduction and operation of replicast technology has substantially improved the group's manufacturing capacity, product quality and market competitiveness. The replicast castings have huge market potential and increasing orders for them are being received from both domestic and international customers.
The ceramic casting production line is another key production unit of the company. Equipped with the most advanced casting facilities, including fully automatic wax injection machines, circle baking furnaces and vacuum melting furnaces, the ceramic line has an annual production capability of 1,200 tons. The weight of a single piece of casting varies from 0.20 to 5 kg and its thickness is 2 mm minimum. The castings can be produced in carbon, stainless, alloy and heat-resistant steels.
In 2002, the group formed a joint venture with Sussex Valves & Conversions Ltd, UK. The joint venture specializes in the machining and selling of castings of valves and other construction machinery parts produced by the foundries. Since then, the group's machined components have entered the markets of many countries and regions, including the United States, Mexico, Argentina, Canada, Germany, France, the UK, Italy, Denmark, Hungary, the Netherlands, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore.
In 2006, the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Commerce listed the Yingliu Machinery and Electronic Co among one of the 160 "national key enterprises for automobile and parts export". "To become a member of the national team for automobile and parts is a great challenge as well as a big opportunity for us," said Du Yingliu, president of the group. "We will make every effort to conquer difficulties and survive international market competition in the future."
The group has paid great attention to the export of automobile parts since the day it was founded. In 2000, it began contacting world automobile giants such as BMW and Ford and succeeded in carrying out collaborative research in key automobile parts.
In order to obtain a foothold in the international automobile industry, the group aimed at and was successful in gaining the QS9000 certification, the Quality System Requirements of the automotive industry, which were developed by Chrysler, Ford, General Motors and major truck manufacturers and issued in 1994.
In 2004, after drawing lessons from automobile manufacturers in Germany, Italy and France, the group successfully underwent ISO/TS16949 assessments conducted by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Certification Incorporated, and received the ISO 9001 (2000 revision) international quality system certification.
