ArvinMeritor to buy Mascot Truck Parts to expand its remanufacturing business

December 11, 2007 -- Auto supplier ArvinMeritor Inc. said Tuesday it agreed to buy Canadian-based Mascot Truck Parts Ltd. for an undisclosed amount to broaden its remanufacturing operations.

Mascot's 170 full-time workers and its customer list will be absorbed by ArvinMeritor. The company will also take over Mascot's remanufacturing plants: three in Mississauga, Ontario, and one each in Edmonton, Alberta; Moncton, New Brunswick; and Boucherville, Quebec.

Mascot remanufactures transmissions, drive axle carriers, steering gears and drivelines.
