January 2, 2008 -- Mindray Medical International Ltd. (NYSE: MR), a leading developer, manufacturer, and marketer of medical devices in China, has appointed Peter Hsu as vice president of sales, marketing, and services for North America. Hsu will be responsible for sales, marketing, and services of the company s products in North America markets.

Prior to joining Mindray, Hsu was managing director of SonoSite (NASDAQ: SONO) in north Asia and prior to that he was senior director of global strategic market development of cardiac and monitoring systems for Philips Medical Systems in Andover, Massachusetts. Previously, he also served as senior director of Asia Pacific for Philips Medical Systems' ultrasound business line and as vice president and general manager of Asia Pacific for Hewlett Packard's (NYSE: HPQ) medical products group.
