January 23, 2008 -- Kaman Aerospace Corporation, a subsidiary of Kaman Corporation (Nasdaq: KAMN) and a subcontractor for structures and components for general aviation aircraft, announced on Tuesday (22 January) that the company's Aerostructures division has signed a memorandum of agreement with Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp (NYSE: UTX), to manufacture cockpits for BLACK HAWK helicopters through 2012 at Kaman's facility at Jacksonville, Florida, US.
Under the agreement Kaman will supply cockpits for Sikorsky's UH-60M, HH-60M and MH-60S model BLACK HAWK helicopters.
The value of initial orders, under the multi-year agreement, is approximately USD74.3m. If the agreement is fully exercised, the total potential value is approximately USD196.4m.
