January 29, 2008 -- The U.S. Army has awarded a $8.41 million contract to Caterpillar Inc., Peoria, Ill., for miscellaneous construction equipment.

The contract was awarded by the U.S. Army Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command, Warren, Mich.
