February 15, 2008 -- Global Top 500 company Caterpillar of the United States has kicked off construction of an engine industrial park in Wuxi, a booming city in Jiangsu Province, east China.

The new Caterpillar Wuxi Engine Industrial Park project will have a total registered capital of US$90 million and engage mainly in manufacturing of environment-friendly medium-sized diesel engines and parts. Its annual engine shipment will exceed 100,000 units after full operation.

Caterpillar already has a plant in Wuxi.
