February 15, 2008 -- Global Vehicles USA Incorporated, a United States-based distributor of India-based Mahindra and Mahindra (NSE: M&M) (BSE: 500520), is introducing hybrid diesel engines as an option on its vehicle range in the United States from 2010.

The company is planning to launch three diesel vehicles in the United States during 2009.

The hybrid drive system will be developed by Mahindra and Mahindra, along with Robert Bosch GmbH and the Austrian engine specialist AVL Powertrain Engineering Incorporated.
