February 28, 2008 -- Lockheed Martin Corp. said Wednesday it has nominated David Burritt, chief financial officer of Caterpillar Inc., to its board.

The nomination will be submitted to the shareholders for approval on April 24. Lockheed directors serve one-year terms.

Shares of the Bethesda, Md.-based defense company were up 45 cents at $105.39.
