March 19, 2008 -- DENSO Corporation, a global automotive supplier announced that it will establish a new company in Tamura-shi, Fukushima Prefecture, Japan in April 2008, to manufacture air conditioning systems.
The new company -- DENSO East Japan Corporation -- will have an initial capital investment of approximately $25 million. DENSO is establishing the company to meet the increasing vehicle production of Japanese car manufacturers in the region. Operations are expected to begin in January 2010.
