April 2, 2008 -- Saab AB said it has won orders for five GIRAFFE AMB multi-mission radar systems worth around £30 million from prime contractor Lockheed Martin UK - INSYS, for use in the United Kingdom. The Saab GIRAFFE AMB (a 3D battlefield surveillance radar) is part of Lockheed Martin's system solution for the United Kingdom's LEAPP (Land Environment Air Picture Provision) program, which is expected to enter service by 2012.
