April 3, 2008 -- Denso's joint venture Kyosan Denso Manufacturing Kentucky (KDMK) has appointed a new president for its Mt Sterling facility. Toshiharu Shikata will take over the role of president from Shunichiro Hiromasa, who will return to Japan.

Shikata began his career in 1981 as a production engineer in Denso Corporation's Filter Manufacturing Department. After holding several different positions, he was promoted to plant manager of Denso's Gasoline Injection Manufacturing Plant 2 in 2003.

Denso Manufacturing Tennessee (DMTN) has also appointed a new president. Atsuhiko "Art" Shimmura will replace Mashiko "Mack" Hattori, who has served as DMTN's president since 2004. This is Shimmura's second assignment at DMTN. He worked as Human Resources coordinator at DMTN from 1989 to 1995. Most recently, Shimmura served as general manager of Denso Corporation's Electronics Systems Business Planning Center.
