Metso to Set Up $47 Million Indian Industrial Unit

April 9, 2008 -- Global engineering and technology firm Metso today said it will invest $47 million to set up an industrial facility in Rajasthan. The 52-acre multi-functional facility will be operational by 2010. It will initially meet the rapid growth in demand for Metso Minerals' products and services in India as well for the export market. With the construction industry growing in India, the company expects major orders over the next few years. The new facility would initially manufacture components of mobile crushing and screening plants, conveyors, pumps and rubber products for construction and mining customers in India and abroad.
