April 10, 2008 -- German engineering and truck manufacturer MAN AG is planning to invest €30 million in its Danish sites, the company said Thursday. A new headquarters for MAN Last Bus A/S will be built in Greve. Its Frederikshavn engine plant will be integrated into MAN Diesel's European production activities, and in the future - in addition to constructing smaller engine types and propulsion systems - it will concentrate on assembling the large four-stroke engine types.
Between 2008 and 2010, MAN Diesel will invest a total of €18 million in its Frederikshavn site. The money will be invested in new machine tools and the redesign of the assembly and test bed areas of the Frederikshavn engine plant; and in Frederikshavn's harbor, where the company operates a service and spare parts center under the brand name MAN Diesel PrimeServ. The MAN Group had Scandinavian orders last year of €1.65 billion.
