April 16, 2008 -- Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica (ERJ) announced it will build a new industrial unit in Taubate in the interior of Sao Paulo state. The company said that the unit will initially be used as a distribution center for the company's materials and aircraft parts. Embraer didn't reveal the total investment in the new unit. Embraer is the world's fourth-largest airplane maker and has four industrial units in Brazil, all in Sao Paulo state.
