April 17, 2008 -- The German-based Schaeffler Group has begun the construction of a CNY800 million bearing plant in Yinchuan, capital city of northwest China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. The plant, covering 110,000 sq. m, will produce medium and large-size bearings used in wind power generation equipments, iron and steel production equipments, cement manufacturing, papermaking and mining equipments. The plant is scheduled for operation startup in 2009.
