May 7, 2008 -- German household appliances maker Bosch-Siemens Hausgeraete GmbH (BSH) saw its pretax profit rise 17.5 pct year-on-year to a record-high of €637 mln in 2007, the company announced on May 7, 2008. Sales grew 6.1 pct to €8.8 bln.
The greatest share of BSH's growth was generated on markets outside Germany, which accounted for some 80 pct of the company's total sales. BSH provided an above-average performance in Asia, particularly in China, where sales rose by over 26 pct, and in eastern Europe, with sales up 24 pct.
