May 7, 2008 -- China's large airplane company will be established May 11 in Shanghai in the name of "China Commercial Aircraft Co., Ltd. This proposed company is expected to set up an internal operating mechanism and research and development center for big airplanes soon. Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Factory, Shanghai branch of The First Aircraft Institute and AVIC I Commercial Aircraft under China Aviation Industry Corporation I will be channeled into the big aircraft company.
