Pratt & Whitney’s Engine Selected to Power Learjet 85 Aircraft
 
  May 13, 2008 -- Designer and manufacturer of aircraft engines Pratt & Whitney Canada, announced that the company's PW307B engine has been selected by Bombardier Aerospace to power the all-new composite Learjet 85 midsize business jet. The PW307B turbofan engine is the newest member of the company's PW300 family. The new-generation engine is reportedly designed to deliver superior performance, high durability and low operating economics, with significantly lower emission and noise levels. Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
