 Grand Rapids, Michigan - June 2007: UNIST, Inc. recently launched its new web site; the first phase in the expansion of the company’s internet activities. The new site, still located at www.unist.com, provides a single resource for UNIST product information, the development and use of lubrication technology in metals manufacturing, company news and coverage by industry media. It is easily navigated both by UNIST equipment users, and those coming in contact with the company for the first time.
The new web site is organized according to the two most common approaches visitors take when inquiring about UNIST capabilities – by specific product type or by application. For product types such as Uni-Roller, visitors can read product overviews, drill down to get detailed information including brochures and catalogs and see detailed photo views. Visitors seeking lubrication technology for a specific application type such as machining, can locate the UNIST systems designed for that specific category, and learn about the uses and benefits of the equipment.
“UNIST has evolved from a company that manufactures fluid dispensing products, to a company that engineers lubrication solutions. Our new site reflects that progression.” says Larry Tilma, the company’s General Manager. “The new site is designed to represent our broad capabilities, also emphasized by our new tagline – Writing the Book on Non-Friction. When we adopted that statement, we knew we would have to live up to what we say. We cannot only be leaders in the design and manufacture of technology for lubrication, but we need to publish content that supports our advancements, reflects our company direction and delivers valuable information to the industries we serve. We no longer are just manufacturing equipment, but we are truly working to set industry standards in the ways fluids and lubricants are applied.”
UNIST will continue to offer enhancements to the new internet presence, adding a variety of ways to help industry apply what UNIST learns. This initial phase contains product information, product applications, project case studies and industry media coverage of lubrication concepts, research, and successful projects. Future additions will include interactive capabilities such as electronic configuration and ordering, on-line drawings, the ability to chat with application engineers on project issues, a blog, streaming project video and online training.
