Morganton, NC - August 20, 2007 -Master WorkHolding has recently expanded their facilities by acquiring new assets and adding personnel. This action is part of an ongoing effort to augment their capacity and capabilities. As company President Mike Powell has stated, "In order to meet the unique and often complex needs of our customers it is necessary for us to continually promote growth. These recent additions are part of our strategy to do just that."
Part of Master WorkHolding's expansion includes the purchase of three new CNC machining centers and complete tooling upgrades. These new CNCs include two Vertical Machining Centers and one Horizontal Machining Center. Utilizing these new machines will greatly improve production times, especially for solutions involving large castings and tombstones. The tooling upgrade will also have a significant impact on production times as well; according to Manufacturing Supervisor Steven Kidd, "These new tools will allow us to change hole making cycle times from minutes to seconds, and decrease milling cycle times by as much as 50%."

Perhaps the most important aspect of Master WorkHolding's expansion is the addition of several new employees. Over the last three months Master WorkHolding has increased its engineering team by over 30% and its manufacturing and assembly staff by 40%. With these new employees Master WorkHolding now has over 200 years combined experience in engineering, 300 years in manufacturing, and 200 years in assembly. According to Powell, "With the implementation of these highly skilled professionals we are confident that we will be able to serve our customers better than ever."
