Van Etten, New York – September 2007  ­­—  VTI has named Tom Calzolaio, C.P.M. as materials manager based at the VTI headquarters in Van Etten, N.Y. Tom previously worked at BorgWarner, Inc. in Ithaca, N.Y. where he was a senior buyer responsible for purchases of powdered metal components and injection molded components. Prior to BorgWarner, Tom worked at Schneider Packaging Equipment Co., Inc. in Brewerton, N.Y. as their materials manager, and at E-ONE New York, a fire and rescue vehicle manufacturer, as their materials manager. Tom brings to VTI 25 years of material purchasing experience, as well as 14 years management experience.

Tom graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Waynesburg College in Waynesburg, Pa. In addition, he earned an MBA from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pa. He has earned his Certified Purchasing Manager certificate through the National Association of Purchasing Managers. Tom is currently president of the Ithaca/Cortland chapter of APICS (American Production & Inventory Control Society).
