AMT welcomes 17 new CMTSEsOn July 18, the second CMTSE exam of 2012 was administered online with proctors around the country in a dozen cities in the United States and Canada to 22 individual CMTSE candidates. Impact on the Mexican economy of the new President ElectMany of you are likely aware that Mexican presidential elections took place on July 1. On that date, more than 49 million Mexicans went to the polls to vote for president and congress, a record figure in the history of Mexico. Everything indicates the winner of the presidential election was Enrique Peña Nieto, from the PRI, or Institutional Revolutionary Party, a moderate and liberal party that ruled the country for more than 70 years from 1929 to 2000. It’s a big world out there. Use all of it to grow your business!We should not ignore the overseas markets both for sales and for production. On the sales front, other economies of the world are not as “stuck” in limbo with political stalemate, and having other economies to sell into means having a diversified customer portfolio. On the production side, the overseas labor markets offer a refreshing break from the U.S. environment. Skills are available and workers are both willing and able to work. (more) |

The legacy of Stephen R.
