09 August 2010August 9, 2010 - USMTC News Release for June Manufacturing Technology ConsumptionJune U.S. manufacturing technology consumption totaled $241.47 million, according to AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology and AMTDA, the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association. This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTC program, was up 35.8% from May and up 71.1% from the total of $141.12 million reported for June 2009. 23 July 2010Second Quarter 2010 Workholding Shipments up 7.7 Percent from First Quarter 2010At $53.8 million for second quarter 2010, shipments of workholding equipment were up 46.3 percent from second quarter 2009 according to the Advanced Workholding Technology (AWT) Group of AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology. 24 May 2010First Quarter Industrial Lasers Down 21 Percent Year-Over-YearOrders of industrial laser equipment and systems in the first quarter of 2010 are reported at $51.3 million, a decrease of 21.2 percent compared with first quarter 2009, according to AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology. Although the value of orders declined, total unit sales increased by 13.6 percent. This unit growth was all in Nd:YAG, though, as CO2 lasers declined slightly. (more) |

24 February 2010Year-End 2009 Industrial Lasers Down 45 Percent from 2008Orders of industrial laser equipment and systems in 2009 are reported at $259.9 million, a decrease of 45.3 percent from 2008, according to AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology. The report compiled from 19 manufacturers and distributors shows that the value of orders of CO2 lasers fell 47.6 percent. Nd:YAG orders showed a decline of 17.9 percent. CO2 orders totaled $229.3 million, and Nd:YAG lasers totaled $30.3 million. (more) |
