Chinese Visitors to the U.S. Letter of Invitation

AMT Members Take First Step Toward Producing for Toyota Production System
June 30, 2008, TOYOTA CITY, JAPAN – The AMT Trade Mission – Japan 2008 toured Toyota’s automotive museum, education center, and one of its production plants.  Members not only saw two lines assembling seven mid-size models – they also were briefed by a Toyota official on the steps required to become a supplier.

June 26, 2008, GIFU, JAPAN – AMT members saw the highly regarded lean manufacturing operation of the Nagoya-area Tier 1 supplier formerly known as Kayaba.  The company’s 1.4 million square foot North Plant produces more than 3,000 different products, and ships 180,000 shock absorbers each day.

Tier One Automotive Supplier Aisin Seiki Tells AMT Members How Best to Approach Transplants
June 26, 2008, AICHI, JAPAN – AMT members spent Thursday afternoon watching one of Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd.’s brake manufacturing operations and talking to the Tier One supplier’s company officials about ways they can do business together in North America. The visit included a tour of a product display area showing products under development, such as a Toyota hydrogen fuel cell system.

Calsonic Kansei Shows AMT Members HVAC and A/C Manufacturing Operations
June 25, 2008, GUNMA, JAPAN – Participants in the AMT Trade Mission – Japan 2008 spent a morning getting an up-close look at two production lines for HVAC and air-conditioning systems.  They each presented their company’s capabilities to officials at Calsonic Kansei, a tier 1 automotive supplier 100 kilometers northwest of Tokyo.
