June 9, 2008 - USMTC News Release for April Manufacturing Technology Consumption
April U.S. manufacturing technology consumption totaled $396.47 million, according to AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology and AMTDA, the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association. This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTC program, was down 27.6% from March, but up 29.2% from the total of $306.86 million reported for April 2007. March U.S. manufacturing technology consumption totaled $544.62 million, according to AMTDA, the American Machine Tool Distributors’ Association, and AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology. This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTC program, was up 84.4% from February, and up 36.1% from the total of $400.19 million reported for March 2007. This total, as reported by companies participating in the USMTC program, was down 4.0% from January, but up 4.4% from the total of $295.39 million reported for February 2007.
