Highlights of the GAO Export Control Study Results
December 6, 2006 - The U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) has issued the results of its study on export controls and export controlled information.  They suggest that export controlled information (rather than physical goods) may not be sufficiently protected.  GAO recommends that the Commerce and State Departments assess this vulnerability and improve guidance for protecting export-controlled information at companies.
