08 January 2010President Obama Announces Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credit RecipientsToday at the White House, President Obama announced the award of $2.3 billion in Recovery Act Advanced Energy Manufacturing Tax Credits (MTC) for clean energy manufacturing projects across the United States. One hundred eighty three projects in 43 states received the funding. The MTC provides a 30% credit for investments in new, expanded, or re-equipped advanced energy manufacturing projects. The President urged Congress to provide an additional $5 billion for the program. (more) |

The House passed the bill earlier in the week. Without action, the program would have expired on March 20, 2009.
