John Deere and Puradyn Team Up in Western Russia
PURADYN FILTER TECHNOLOGIES INCORPORATED ("PFTI-L") - John Deere and Puradyn Team Up in Western Russia Puradyn Filter Technologies Incorporated announced that the John Deere Forestry Division (Deere) is installing the puraDYN(r) oil filtration system at its factory in Joensuu, Finland on equipment to be utilized in Russia using high-sulfur fuel. The initial order of 45 systems and filters was shipped in June for use on harvesters. Subsequent orders have been received and others are expected over the next 5 months. The puraDYN(r) system was selected by Deere to protect the equipment's engine from contaminants found in the byproducts from high-sulfur fuels commonly used in harsh environments such as timber harvesting. MANUFACTURER TO BOOST PRODUCTION OF FUEL-EFFICIENT TECHNOLOGY
The Indiana Economic Development Corporationissued the following news release: Governor Mitch Daniels joined executives from automotive supplier Millennium Industries today to announce the company's plans to expand its headquarters and manufacturing operations here, creating more than 170 new jobs by 2011. The company, which manufactures fuel rails and power steering components for original equipment manufacturers in the automotive industry, will invest more than $9.2 million to upgrade equipment and add 30,000 square feet of production and warehouse space at its North Main Street facility. Nordam building Mexico plant
Chihuahua's work force is familiar with making composite and plastic aircraft components. Realigning its aircraft component manufacturing to compensate for the weak U.S. dollar, Tulsa-based Nordam Group is building a 96,000-square-foot plant in Chihuahua, Mexico, company executives said Tuesday. Construction of the Chihuahua facility is expected to be completed in March, with its official opening set for April 2, officials said. Toyota Mulling Engine Facility in India-Report
Toyota is said to be considering setting up an engine manufacturing facility in India, reports theFinancial Express. According to an unnamed executive at the company's Indian Toyota Kirloskar Motors division, the plant could be set up near to its vehicle manufacturing unit in Bangalore to cut down on production costs. Amtran Tech, LG to set up LCD factory in Suzhou
Amtran Technology, one of largest TFT LCD display producers in Taiwan, is in talks with South Korea's LG Display Company on setting up a joint venture in China's Suzhou, and both sides hope to start production in the third quarter of 2008, according to a news report from Taiwan United Daily News. Total sales grew by 36 per cent from the telecommunications sector this year for printed circuit board (PCB) products manufacturer Meadville. Tom Tang Chung-yen, executive chairman, group managing director at Meadville Holdings, said that the United States subprime mortgage crisis, high prices and inflation would be major issues for the industry. "In this business environment, we are still able to deliver growing first-half results. The results have been impacted by two new plants' initial start-up losses of $62HKmillion. PSA Peugeot-Citroen May Build Ukrainian Plant
A report appearing in a Russian newspaper has suggested that PSA Peugeot-Citroen may build a new plant in Ukraine. According to business dailyKommersant, the automaker has around 700 million euro ($1US.03 billion) available to build two facilities, with Ukraine earmarked for one of them.
