IMTS 2022 – A Full House

IMTS pavilions and the co-located show, HANNOVER MESSE, will inhabit all floors and all four buildings of McCormick Place. And the figures keep growing. Technology Highlights

The theme for IMTS 2022 is Digital Manufacturing. Implemented. “As manufacturers around the world wrestle with supply chain and workforce challenges, they are increasingly searching and adopting digital manufacturing practices and products,” says Peter Eelman, AMT vice president and CXO. “Not only is IMTS 2022 going to be replete with CNC and additive machine builders, but will feature dozens of CAD/CAM, modeling and simulation software, metrology systems, and other digitally-enabled tools.”

“We can expect to see transformative technologies embedded within much of our industry’s traditional machines that foster connectivity and boost productivity using breakthrough technologies such as automation and robotics, additive manufacturing, augmented and virtual reality, digital twin, generative design, and more,” says Tim Shinbara, AMT vice president and chief technology officer.

“IMTS 2022 will once again host AMT’s Emerging Technology Center and will featuring trailblazing advancements in manufacturing technology from the Manufacturing Demonstration Facility at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).”

Momentum

“AMT and IMTS are focused on your success,” says AMT President Doug Woods. “Digital technologies and the positive economic outlook have spurred industry innovation and adoption to gain new efficiencies. As the demand for manufacturing technology surges, our team is working to make IMTS 2022 an event that connects people to people and to the technologies that thrust the industry ahead – not just a little, but by leaps and bounds.”

“The energy of the IMTS community is exhilarating,” says Eelman. “I believe the advanced manufacturing industry is poised for extraordinary growth. We keep hearing exhibitors are eager to show off their many new digital enhancements of their equipment, products, and services. IMTS 2022 will be your chance to see an abundance of transformative technologies as well as a chance to connect with industry experts and network with other manufacturing technology professionals to position your business for success.”
