  • Inteva Products, a global supplier to the automotive industry, has announced a new $8.8 million investment to expand its operations in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. The move reinforces the company's confidence in the region as a strategic destination for industrial investment in northeastern Mexico.

  • Kyungshin is investing $50 million in its Plant II in Gomez Palacio to manufacture battery modules for Ford.

  • SK Tec Mexicana, a subsidiary of Sankyo Kogyo Company Ltd., inaugurated an expansion of its plant located in Irapuato, Guanajuato, in an investment worth nearly $20 million.

  • Franke inaugurated a brand new $82 million plant in San Luis Potosi. The Swiss group specializes in kitchen and residential space solutions and is expanding across Latin America, particularly in Mexico.

  • ABB has completed the expansion of its production campus in San Luis Potosi. Thanks to a $12 million investment, the company expanded its campus by 107,000 square feet, increasing its installed production capacity by 50%.

  • Deacero, one of the leading steel recyclers and producers in the Americas, has chosen Toluca as the site for its new $8.7 million plant. The new plant will strengthen the company's production and distribution capacity in Mexico, focusing on transforming the construction sector.

  • Yanmar, a Japanese machinery manufacturer, expanded its operations in Brazil by constructing a $44 million factory in Indaiatuba. The project, which will be completed in stages through 2030, aims to increase production capacity, unify operations, and improve industrial processes. The expansion is in response to growing demand for tractors, mini-excavators, harvesters, engines, and spare parts.

  • Petrobras' 2025-2029 business plan outlines a total investment of $111 billion, with $77 billion allocated for exploration and production in offshore oil sites, reinforcing the Brazilian government's position in global oil production.

  • Despite uncertainties, Embraer is confident it will generate between $7 billion and $7.5 billion in revenue for 2025. The Brazilian aerospace manufacturer delivered 21 light executive jets and 17 medium-sized ones this quarter – 11 more than in the same quarter last year – and is forecasting 145-155 total business jet deliveries for the entire year.

  • General Motors announced an additional $222 million investment in its Gravatai plant, Brazil's most modern and productive factory. The automaker's Brazilian subsidiary announced the investment to support the production of a new Chevrolet vehicle and to continue modernizing the factory to adopt more efficient technologies.

  • Komatsu has announced a new cycle of investments in Brazil. The Japanese heavy equipment manufacturer will invest $20 million by 2027 to modernize and expand its factory in Suzano. Planned improvements include a new manufacturing building and the acquisition of welding robots, machining machines, and a new cation painting line. With the capacity to produce more than three machines per year, the unit is expected to increase production by more than 50% by 2030. The plant is also expected to double the number of product development engineers by the end of this year, with a focus on meeting growing demand in Brazil and countries in Latin America and Africa. This new investment adds to the $30 million already invested since 2023, totaling $50 million.

  • BP has made a significant hydrocarbon discovery at the Bumerangue field in Brazil's Santos Basin – its largest globally in over two decades. The field potentially contains billions of oil, gas, and condensate barrels.
