America Makes Announces 2 Project Calls Worth $8M in Funding
Youngstown, Ohio — America Makes and the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining have announced two new project calls worth a total of $8 million in funding. The first project call, Powder Alloy Development for Additive Manufacturing 2.0, funded by the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Material and Manufacturing Directorate, has a $6 million budget. The second project call, Artificial Intelligence for Material Allowables in Additive Manufacturing, offers a total of $2 million in funding through the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense, Manufacturing Technology Office.
America Makes Awards UDRI $450K for AACAMS Project Call
Youngstown, Ohio — America Makes and the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining announced that the University of Dayton Research Institute has been selected as the awardee of a recent project call funded by the Air Force Research Laboratory’s Materials and Manufacturing Directorate, totaling $450,000.
YBI’s Engine Tech Incubator Launches Landing Zone: A Free, Global Advanced Manufacturing Market Entry Lab
Youngstown, Ohio — YBI Engine Tech Incubator, in partnership with America Makes and the Youngstown Innovation Hub for Aerospace & Defense, has launched Landing Zone, a free nine-week virtual course designed to help manufacturing innovators enter the U.S. market. Landing Zone runs from May 5 to July 2, 2026, with virtual meetings held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7:45 to 9:00 a.m. ET. The program is open to all domestic and international applicants.
