Stand out at the [MC]2 Conference 2015

You can be front and center at the fourth annual [MC]2 Conference, which will be held April 28-30, 2015, at the Hyatt McCormick Place in Chicago, Ill. Here are three ways you and your company can stand out at the conference: speaking engagements, sponsorships and exhibiting.

Speaking as a thought leader at the conference will put you among other industry experts who are influencing the future of digital manufacturing. As a sponsor of the conference, your company logo will be displayed throughout the conference website, in the conference app and on signs onsite. Your company’s logo is guaranteed to be seen by all attendees. This is a great marketing vehicle for your company. Becoming an exhibitor will not only put your logo in key places, but it also means you can showcase your products and services to an audience of solution-seekers at the conference. You will exhibit and share with conference attendees how your products can meet their digital manufacturing needs to give them a competitive advantage.

Will there be another MTConnect Challenge?

MTConnect Challenge 2, a new round of competition that will target students in universities and community colleges, has been proposed to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD) Defense-wide Manufacturing Science and Technology (DMS&T), the sponsor of the MTConnect Challenge 1. This project is still under consideration and may be awarded soon. If funded, the executors of the challenge, namely the MTConnect Institute, the U.S. Army, and the National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM), will move quickly to get companies to support and their local schools to enter the competition. If and when funding is made available, a statement will be released.

MTConnect at Fabtech in Atlanta, Ga.

Russell Waddell of MTConnect Institute and AMT - The Association For Manufacturing Technology attended FABTECH, the North American tradeshow for metal forming and fabricating, November 11-13, 2014, in Atlanta, Ga. The show included vendors selling lasers, presses, welders, finishing and a small amount of automation and software. Russell made key contacts with companies that could potentially join MTConnect TAG’s working groups that are focused on non-traditional machines to enhance and expand the scope of the MTConnect standard.
