BENZ Inc. will be relocating from Charlotte, N.C., to a new 10,000 sq. ft. facility in Hickory, N.C. This will enable BENZ to expand its operations and store more inventory for quick delivery to the U.S., Canada and Mexico. The new facility will also house an extensive service department designed for diagnostic testing on BENZ tooling.
Cleaning Technologies Group has announced the promotion of Greg Allen to the position of Innovation Engineer. In his new role, he will lead Ransohoff Innovation efforts, as well as coordinate R&D. Allen is a member of the Innovation Leadership Roundtable sponsored by Techsolve.
Jet Edge, Inc. has promoted Josh Bauer to service manager. Bauer is responsible for managing all aspects of Jet Edge’s waterjet service department supporting customers worldwide. A longtime Jet Edge employee, he has held positions in Jet Edge’s production and service departments, most recently serving as a field service technician.
Mahr Federal has named veteran communications professional J. Robin Palermo as Director of Marketing and Customer Service. In her new position she will direct and oversee all aspects of the company’s marketing strategies and marketing communication programs, as well as the customer service team. Palermo is noted for developing integrated marketing and communications plans and product launch programs.
Sandvik Coromant has announced Sean Holt as the new President of the Americas market area effective Jan. 1, 2016. An experienced executive in the manufacturing industry, he was a key member of the Americas Management team as the Vice President of Engineering. He is now part of the Global Sales Management team reporting to Eduardo Martin, Global Vice President of Sales, whom he succeeds as the head of the Americas organization.
Sandvik Coromant has also announced the acquisition of the German company Prometec GmbH, based in Aachen. Prometec is a leading supplier of advanced solutions for monitoring and control of machining processes in production machines. The company primarily operates in the European and North American market. A large part of the customer base comes from the global automotive industry.
New Unison Corporation announces that Bill Jenkins has been promoted to its Senior Management Team. As the new Vice President of Marketing, he will be responsible for the company’s global marketing efforts. Jenkins has worked with Unison for more than 10 years. Previously, he worked for approximately 10 years as Regional Sales Manager with Walter Grinders and for approximately three years as a Regional Sales Manager selling cutting tool grinders at Anca, Inc.
